What does the course cover?
You’ll build academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for university study. The course also includes NBT preparation and optional help with applying to UCT. -
When does the course run?
You can join any Monday. Classes take place from 09:00 to 13:00, Monday to Friday. You can also add afternoon electives or private lessons to build on specific skills or areas of interest. -
Who can join the course?
You should have at least a B1 (Intermediate) level to benefit fully from the course. If you're not quite there yet, you'll first enrol in General English to develop the foundations you'll need for success. -
How long is the course?
The course usually runs for 10–12 weeks, depending on your starting level, previous study, and how consistently you engage with your learning both in and outside the classroom. -
Do I need to pass any exams?
There’s no final English exam, but progress is measured through regular tasks and feedback. If you're applying to UCT, you'll need to pass the National Benchmark Test (NBT).
