What kind of accommodation is this?
The Yellow House is a shared student residence with a relaxed, social atmosphere. It’s ideal for students who want to live with others, practise English informally, and experience Cape Town together. -
How many people live there?
The house can accommodate up to 18 students. It’s usually a mix of different ages and nationalities, depending on the time of year. -
What facilities are available?
You’ll have access to shared kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and Wi-Fi throughout the house. The house is fully furnished and equipped for short-to medium-term stays. -
Do I need to bring anything?
We provide bedding, but you’ll need to bring your own towel, toiletries, and personal items. -
How far is it from the school?
It’s about a 15-minute walk from the school. Directions will be sent to you before you arrive. -
When can I check in and out?
Check-in is from 12:00 on your arrival day, and the process is automated so you can arrive at any time after that. Check-out is by 10:00 on your departure day. -
What’s the atmosphere like?
It’s friendly and social, but also respectful. You’ll meet students from all over the world. We expect everyone to contribute to a positive and considerate shared living environment. -
Is cleaning included?
Common areas are cleaned weekly, but you’re expected to keep your own space tidy and contribute to a respectful shared environment. Cleaning materials are provided. -
Is there someone I can contact if I need help?
Yes. You’ll get the contact details for our accommodation support team before arrival, and they’ll be available if anything comes up during your stay.
