Our TEFL programmes are designed for those who want to teach English as a foreign language, whether you're just starting out or looking to develop your skills further. Combining practical experience with a solid grounding in theory, our courses prepare you to teach English with confidence, both in South Africa and internationally.
We offer two training options: the UCT Certificate in TEFL, a full-time hands-on course ideal for newcomers to the field, and the UCT Blended Certificate in TEFL, an online programme with an in-person practical component. Both courses are led by experienced teacher trainers and include opportunities for classroom observation and teaching practice. You'll finish with skills that are valued in language schools around the world.
