Homestay is when you live with a local host or family in their home. It’s a great way to experience South African culture and practise your English in everyday situations. -
How are hosts selected?
All hosts are vetted by our accommodation team. After booking, you’ll receive profiles with photos and information about available hosts so you can choose the one that suits you best. -
What’s included in homestay?
Breakfast and dinner are included. You’ll need to organise your own lunch while at school and buy any personal snacks. -
Can I use the kitchen?
You’ll usually have limited access to the kitchen for making tea, snacks or simple meals. Full meal preparation is generally not available. -
Is cleaning and laundry included?
Hosts usually clean your room once a week. Laundry is not always included—some hosts may offer it for a small fee or allow you to use a laundromat nearby. -
How far are homestays from the school?
Most homestays are within a short commute from the school, either by walking, minibus taxi, or public transport. We try to match you with a host in a convenient location. -
