Do you feel like going on a bit of an adventure? Do you like travelling to new places and meeting people from all over the world? Why not consider learning English in Cape Town at the UCT Language Centre?
Meet our lovely student from Brazil, Mariana Costa. She is currently studying English at UCT English Language Centre and is taking a gap year from her studies at the University of Fortaleza in Northeastern Brazil. When she returns to Brazil later this year, she will continue studying towards a degree in Nutrition.
She starts off with some photos of her long goodbye in Brazil, before introducing us to her experiences in Johannesburg, where she visited Nelson Mandela’s House, The Lion Park and The Elephant Sanctuary.
Then Mariana arrives in Cape Town and shows us some of her memories-in-the-making , on top of the spectacular Lion’s Head! The hike is perfect for beginners, and the view is breathtaking! For some more animal-fun, she takes us to Boulders Beach where she shows us just how close you can get to the African Penguins, before giving us a giggle about her first time ice skating at Grand West. Who would have thought you could see penguins and go ice skating in Africa! And finally, Mariana shows us her classmates at UCT English Language Centre, or as she says “This picture shows my real reason to be in Cape Town”. We hope you enjoy watching her small video as much as we did.
Important! You need sound for this one!
